Academy Award Weekend is finally upon us everyone! Am I sad to be finished with discussing this year’s Oscar contenders? A bit but not really. I’m excited to finally have the chance to branch out and hit on some new topics!
If for some reason you feel like we are coming to a close on our awards discussion too soon, don’t fret, I am sure that after the show airs on Sunday I will be moved to do a post on the most egregious Oscar snubs.
In the meantime, here is the annual oscars episode of Black Men Can’t Jump In Hollywood, in which they discuss the nominees and the program in general. Fun fact: this is actually one of the very first podcasts I ever listened to and as such it holds a very dear (albeit very small) place in my heart. It does warrant mentioning however, that up to this point I have only recommended episodes of Pop Culture Happy Hour, which does not pose a very intimidating time commitment but Black Men Can’t Jump In Hollywood tends to run longer and this particular episode is about 1 hour and 45 minutes. I would also like to add that while I don’t think this is the best podcast that will discuss the oscars (in fact, a few times, I found myself rolling my eyes while listening) I think it is important that I try to recommend a variety of different style/type of podcast to you, dear listeners.

I have never heard of the podcast “Black Men Can’t Jump”, but based off your description I feel the need to listen immediately. I also love hearing others peoples thoughts on pop culture, so thanks for the recommendation! Also, I too watched the Oscars last Sunday, so I am REALLY looking forward to reading your Oscars review!
